Vladimir Kara-Murza (the anchoman): How are these statements ethical, that the «Yukos» prisoners are imputed of kidnapping, people’s disappearance, although neither in the first trial, nor in the second one there are such episodes; it concerned only Leonid Nevzlin and Alexey Pichugin, but it doesn’t concern Khodorkovsky and Lebedev?

At Michail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev trial the public prosecution in the Khamovnichesky district court called one of its trump cards. It is Alexey Golubovich, the former «Yukos» director of the strategic planning and corporate finances, who gives evidence at court.

Mikhail Khodorkovsky makes a statement in response to remarks from Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and urges him to appear in his trial as a witness:

The question about Michail Khodorkovsky’s fate, which is discussed very seldom in Russian central TV channels and especially in statements of chief executives of the state, was brought up during the televised call-in show with Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin. Usually such questions sound during press conferences of Russian persons of high standing in foreign countries, and they are asked by foreign journalists, however, on Thursday the question about Khodorkovsky sounded from the lips of, so called, ordinary citizen of Russia.
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin stated again about «Yukos»’ complicity in personal crimes and that «these crimes were proved by the court». Besides, the Prime Minister compared Michail Khodorkovsky with US fraudster Bernard Maddoff and US gangster of the times of dry law Al Capone. These statements were pronounced in November, 27, 2009 during Vladimir Putin’s press conference in Paris.
On the 7th of October, 2009 at the meeting with writers the Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin made another statement about «the complicity of YUKOS Company in murders» that «has been proved by the court».
On Wednesday, 30-th of September, 2009, at Michail Khodorkovsky and Platon Lebedev trial, as a witness for prosecution there laid before the court the head of the Austrian oil company «East Petroleum Handles» Evgeny Rybin. He is also known for the second Alexey Pichugin’s and Leonid Nevzlin’s criminal case where he was a target in the investigation as a victim.
